Summer Play Days

We intend to run a "Summer Play Day" once a week to enable some of you who want to have your child involved but don't want a week long committment during the summer. 
Ages and Times: 3-5 year olds 9-11 a.m. &  6-8 year olds 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Price: Morning Play Group $10/day                 Afternoon Play Group $15/day

Schedule of Play Days:
"Little Scientist" Thursday June 18th
9:00-11:00 a.m. 3-5 year olds 
1:00-4:00 p.m. 6-8 year olds
Children will engage in a few science experiments and dress up like little scientists! Older children will participate in part of our Science Camp.

"Little Pirates: Thursday June 25th
9:00-11:00 a.m. 3-5 year olds
1:00-4:00 p.m. 6-8 year olds
Children will dress up and play pirates while having a blast learning about ocean creatures.  Older children will participate in part of our Pirate Camp.

"Little Doctors: Thursday July 9th
9:00-11:00 a.m. 3-5 year olds
1:00-4:00 p.m. 6-8 year olds
Children will dress up and participate in doctor play.  Older children will learn basics of organ anatomy.

"Little Cowboy/Cowgirl": Thursday July 16th
9:00-11:00 a.m. 3-5 year olds
1:00-4:00 p.m. 6-8 year olds
Children will dress up and participate in cowboy and cowgirl play.  Older children will participate in part of our Cowboy/Cowgirl Camp.

A little more about summer days...
Morning Schedule: 
9:00-9:15 Circle time to help children learn about their new friends and learn about the theme for the day. 
9:15-10:15 They will then go to centers to enjoy free play and participate in theme based play. 
10:15-10:30 Light snack. 
10:30-10:45 Musical movement time related to the theme. 
10:45-11:00 Structured play until pickup.

Afternoon Schedule:
Children will participate in days camp.
1:00-1:30 Circle time for children to learn about new friends, theme for the day and get "dressed" and ready for the days activities.
1:30-2:30 Center play.  Children rotate centers to participate in hands on activities related to theme.
2:30-2:45 Light snack and discussion of day.
2:45-3:00 Outside or gym adventures.
3:00-3:45 Group project.
3:45-4:00 Review of day.
