Megan E. Mingone, M.S.,
CCC-SLP Owner and Director of Education
Play Station, Speech Language Pathologist Megan
is the owner and director of Education Play Station. She has a B.S. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology
and a Minor in Education from University of Florida. She also holds an M.S. in Medical Speech Language Pathology
from New York Medical College. She has worked at various establishments such as Space Coast Early Intervention
Center, Blythedale Children's Hospital, Westchester Medical Center, The School for Special Children and as a
private practitionerer. Megan is a member of American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA), M.A.M.A., Georgia
Preschool Association and Kindermusik International. She is a certified Speech Language Pathologist as well as a certified
Kindermusik educator.
Dr. Christopher
J. Mingone Science Teacher Dr. Christopher Mingone is a lead scientist at CryoLife, Inc. Chris currently researches
cyropreservation of human heart valves and arteries. He holds a B.S. in Biotechnology, M.S. in Physiology, and
Ph.D in Physiology. He will be teaching Science Classes and Summer Camps.
Crystal Purser,
Preschool Teacher and Kindermusik Educator Crystal is our 3
and 4 year old Preschool Teacher and one of our Kindermusik educators. She holds a Bachelor of Science
in Organizational Management from Covenant College. She has a 20 year history working with various children's
ministries. She has been a director of a local preschool and a parent-involvement coordinator at Calhoun Elementary.
Crystal adds a smile to every room with her vibrant personality. We are blessed to have to a wonderful addition
to our team!
Rick Langston, Guitar Instructor Singer/songwriter spent 25 years in Nashville,
TN, 18 of those playing bass guitar/singing harmony on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Rick teaches our
guitar classes, song writing and singing courses! Rosemary Turner –
Dance Instructor Rosemary comes to
us as a former director and instructor for a dance ministry company. She brings to EPS, 11 years
of experience, specializing in ballet, jazz and creative movement classes for children. She
has also written and developed several Christian dance camps and has choreographed choir performances for both children and
adults. In addition to her dance background, Rosemary has a Bachelor’s and Master’s
degree in Engineering. Rosemary loves spending time with her family and teaching
children to use dance as praise to Jesus.
Sheri Medley – Speech/Language Pathologist Sheri brings her skills as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to EPS. She was a First
Honor Graduate at the University of Georgia. She obtained her Master’s in Education while attending
UGA. She is currently employed as a SLP providing therapy to children and adults.
Sheri’s relationship with God and her family bring her the most happiness in life.
Keith Hamilton
– Taekwondo Keith joins us with
16 years of martial arts experience. In the past, he also coached football and basketball. Keith
has a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. When not practicing martial
arts, Keith enjoys observing his own children and praising God. He has a desire to glorify God in
all his actions and to be a positive role model for his kids.
Shannon Higginbotham – Tumbling, Home School
Group, and Summer Camp Teacher Shannon
is a natural with kids and her friendly personality is a great asset to EPS. She has a Bachelor’s
Degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. She has primarily focused on positions that allow her to
interact with young people. Shannon has a passion for helping students with learning disabilities.
Marilyn Barnes – Front Office Marilyn has been with EPS from the very start. You
will find Marilyn here two days a week, managing the finances and working in the front office. She has experience with
small buisnesses being that she was a co-owner of a Door and Trim Company in Florida for over 30 years prior
to moving to Georgia. In addition to all that she does, you can always expect to be greeted with her smiling face.
While she is a great asset to EPS, her most valued role here is the mother to Megan Mingone, the director and grandmother
to Christopher Mingone.
Georgie Smith – Front Office Georgie joins EPS as an office assistant. She
has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was formerly a daycare director before resigning to be a stay-at-home
mother to her twins. After a 7 year break, she reenters the work force with enthusiasm and a willingness
to help you in any way.
